Communications is one of the most fundamental building blocks of what it means to be human
For those who live in cities where you might have hundreds of neighbours in the same building, there are many ways and means of reaching out, of sending a message, of calling for help But for those in the bush – for those across the huge electorate of Parkes and for Australians in many other parts of the country that are not centred around a capital city – communications is a challenge.
Here is what I had to say in Parliament about my concerns about the new Telecommunications Bill.
