Volunteer Grants Round closes this month

Federal Member for Parkes Jamie Chaffey is reminding not-for-profit organisations in the electorate of Parkes to apply for the 2025-26 Volunteer Grants Round.

Expressions of interest are now open for grants of between $1,000 and $5,000 for eligible not-for-profit organisations to support and increase participation in volunteering.

Mr Chaffey said there was still time for organisations to get a submission together before the closing date of Friday, 27 March.

“These grants can help make a difference to organisations who in turn make a difference in their communities,” Mr Chaffey said. “I encourage eligible organisations to reach out to my office for an expression of interest form.”

Funding can be used for:

  • Category 1: Purchase communication and insurance items that will benefit any of a community organisation’s volunteers, such as phones, computers, software etc
  • Category 2: Purchase items to support eligible cohorts and volunteer-run activities, such as accessibility equipment, first aid, grounds maintenance, tools, office equipment and a variety of other items.

Twenty-one organisations in the Parkes electorate were successful through the 2024-25 Volunteer Grants Round.

Applications close 5pm, Friday 27 March, 2026, and the expression of interest form can be found at www.jamiechaffey.com.au, or contact one of the offices of Jamie Chaffey MP to find out more. Forms should be returned to: Jamie Chaffey MP, PO Box 443, Broken Hill NSW 2880 or email jamie.chaffey.mp@aph.gov.au
