Federal Member for Parkes Jamie Chaffey MP will hold mobile offices in Brewarrina, Bourke and Cobar in early October.
Mr Chaffey said the electorate of Parkes stretched over 400,000 sq km, and mobile offices were a regular way to allow people to meet with their federal local member closer in their own community.
“While I have offices in Dubbo and Broken Hill, and am about to open offices in Gunnedah and Moree, there are still many places where constituents still have to travel a fair distance to have a chat,” Mr Chaffey said.
“When I am travelling in the electorate, it is great to be able to spend a portion of the day in the community at a mobile office event catching up with people about their federal issues. One of the best parts of being a federal local member is meeting people face to face, and hearing about what matters to them.”
Mobile offices will be held at:
Brewarrina: 2-4pm on Tuesday, 6 October at Brewarrina Shire Council, 57 Bathurst Street.
Bourke: 12-3pm on Wednesday, 7 October at Bourke Shire Council, 29 Mitchell Street.
Cobar: 2-5pm on Thursday, 8 October at Council TAFE Library, 39 Marshall Street.
You can ring Mr Chaffey’s office on (02) 6882 0999 to make an appointment.
